Aharon Gillie

Hi my name is Aharon Gillie. When I was 8, I suffered from Ewing's Sarcoma, this was in February 1990. I went first to the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, Surrey, and then to the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, Middlesex. I had 3 cancerous cells in my left fibula. In July 1990, I had my left fibula removed and then spent another 6 months in hospital receiving chemotherapy.

I am now 25 and now live a healthy life, I work in insurance and am learning to drive, and if it wasn't for the love and support from family, friends and my excellent consultants and doctors, I may have lost my leg.

Thanks to Kate for introducing me to the site, I look forward to hearing some more stories from people who have/had bone cancer.
