My 10 year old son Ted passed away on Saturday 26th June 2010 after a courageous battle with Ewings Sarcoma. We miss him terribly but relieved he is no longer suffering. Good luck to all those fighting the fight. I have just read the BCRT newsletter and am pleased to see the funding allocated for research into Ewings. Rest in Peace darling Ted xxxxxx

We lost our beautiful Gemma aged 21 to Ewings Sarcoma in April 2005 so this will be our fourth Christmas without her. She is missed every day and we love her dearly. She was a truly courageous and inspiring woman. I am so proud to have been her cousin. The work of the Bone Cancer Research Trust is very close to all our hearts.

I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in 1987, I was on chemo for 4 months then had limb salvage surgery in Cappagh hospital, i.e. a titanium prosthesis fitted, followed by more chemo. I had revision surgery in 2001, thankfully everything going well.

Hi I'm Danielle Hamilton and I'm 14 years old. I have had ewings sarcoma in my pelvis for the past year. Throughout the year I have had 6 doses of VIDE wich made me really ill then in May this year I was told I could have an operation in London to remove my tumour which I was really happy about because in Glasgow they said I would end up in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. The operation was to remove my pelvis then replace it with my phibula in my leg. The operation was a success and about 2 weeks after my op I got more chemo called VAIS and that me really ill as well. Then 3 weeks after that I got the ewings 99 trial which was a big blast of more chemo. I have been through the bad and worse but now I am in recovery and I could get rid of my crutches soon.

Looking forward to feedback on the bone cancer trust forum earlier this year. A fantastic charity - close to our hearts. We continue to try to raise awareness and raise funds.

I’ve had cancer in my hip for a year. I’m 13 now and had a full hip to toe amputation. I’m doing fine now and learning to walk with my new leg.

Hi, I'm so glad I've found a site that deals predominantly with Ewing's and osteosarcoma. My 18yr old son was diagnosed 2yrs ago with Ewings and is still battling on and currently facing the prospect of amputation. We have booked to attend the Seminar in June and look forward to meeting everyone.

I attended the conference as the parent of a teenager in treatment for osteosarcoma. I feel proud that I was able to attend the first conference and will always highlight the work that the trust does to promote research into bone cancers. I would love to see a forum on this website where likeminded people could share experiences, offer advice and offload when times are tough.

The void left by Lauren is overshadowed only by the space she now occupies in our hearts.
Tomorrow is the third anniversary and you are with us always.
Until we meet again, the memory of your smile burns brightly.
Love always your pals from Birmingham xxx
