Your Bake it Events from 2012
Lots of you sent us fabulous pictures from your Bake it for Bone Cancer 2012 events.
It's as plain as baking flour that our supporters have the 'Bake It' gene and some of you have been hiding your light under a bushel.
If you haven't sent us your pictures yet, what are you waiting for? The sooner you send them to us at firstname.lastname@example.org, the sooner we can share your pictures too...
Anna Edwards held a cake sale at Portaromana where she works to help boost her Royal Parks fundraising. The cake sale was organised by Anna's colleague, Louise Bruce and it raised £93 for BCRT. Very Cath Kidston!
Lisa Moon and Callee MacLaughlin held three bake sales at work to raise money towards their Royal Parks fundraising. They sold delicious cakes which their mums had helped to bake and raised a jolly decent £80.
The children of St Laurence Church Junior School, where Jane Millington teaches, organised cake sales and competitions and raised £587. They also sold fridge magnets which resembled little cakes - that's taking 'calorie free' to a whole new level. Peter Hodge (pictured), teaches at the school. He is a bone cancer survivor and somewhat of a hero - quite rightly so!
Dr Paul Genever and colleagues from the Biology Department, York University held a cake sale which raised £460 – they proved that baking is a science. Well done guys, a very imaginative event.
Jack Lennon held a bake sale at the International School of Zug & Luzern, high school campus. Jack and his family moved to Switzerland five year when his father's job required them to relocate.
4 years ago Jack was diagnosed with an osteosarcoma in his left arm/wrist. He had a limb sparing surgery and finished his chemotherapy 3 years ago.
This is the third year that Jack has held a bake sale for BCRT, with the help of his brother Henry, sister Rachel and friends. Jack raised £320 for BCRT. Fantastic effort, well done.
